Thanks, Eve! Yeah, Rochester does not come off the best here. In fact, YIKES. So if you do read this, brace yourself. I am excited to read Jane Eyre now and a copy is on its way!
I might not be up for reading this yet but I will, if for no other reason than I watched the 1990s NC-17 movie when I was far too young. I got held up in Puerto Rico years ago and the only thing in my bag, besides $16, was a copy of Jane Eyre. I do think the mugger needed it more than I did.
Honestly, that gorgeous cover was enough to make me add this to my TBR, and your review only solidified that decision!
Thanks, Chioma! I'm glad you enjoyed the review and that you'll check out the book.
Great review. This one has been on my list for so long but I don’t know if I can do it….
I love Jane Eyre so much and am 100000% a Rochester apologist. If loving him is wrong I don’t want to be right!!!!!

Great review! I read this a while back and loved it. I am also a Jane Eyre fan and have read it at least twice. I hope you like it as well.
Thanks, Kate! Glad you enjoyed this book as well. I am excited to read Jane Eyre. My copy is on its way!

OMG
That is a crazy story! What intense memories to connect to these books!
Thanks for this! I really love Jean Rhys. Actually, Kate Jones also wrote about Wide Sargasso Sea sort of recently, in case you’re interested… https://open.substack.com/pub/anarrativeoftheirown/p/wide-sargasso-sea?r=16o6r4&utm_medium=ios
Thanks for sharing Kate’s review, Tash! Really good!

Thanks, Brianna! I’m not sure I understand what Atlantic haunt means, unfortunately. Can you explain what the class discussed?
