I was one of those who loved your take on "Dracula." Your insights into " Carmilla" are equally entertaining. I'm glad you followed the suggestion to read it!

I'm also glad you will be doing "Lapvona" next . I was so undone by the cover that I couldn't bring myself to take a look inside.

Thanks, Betsy! I'm a big Moshfegh fan, so I'm looking forward to getting into it. But I've heard a lot of folks don't like it and that it's unsettling. We'll see what happens!

Ooh, The Actual Star. An absolutely fascinating premise with what I found to be a really disappointing execution. There’s so much to talk about there!

Thanks, Andrea! It was recommended in my local bookstore and I’ve followed the author on Instagram for years so I figured I’d give it a look. 🤞

I would love to read your opinion on the Hurston book. I would 100% have bought that one had I seen it hanging around.

Oh yes, totally my thing and honestly kinda mad I've never gotten around to it given my affinity for vampires... (maybe I noted it on a "to read" list somewhere and lost track...)
